Fresh Force Summer JOb Program
Refresh Collective is a nonprofit that empowers & educates Cleveland youth using hip-hop as a vehicle. Our students learn to powerfully express themselves through rapping, producing, and running a studio together. Here are some songs created and performed in the summer of 2023 by a group of amazing and diverse Cleveland youth. Students developed artistic, interpersonal and transferrable employment skills as they wrote, produced and performed this work.
"Hip-hop Can Change the World"
This live performance at the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland was a pure celebration of Hip-hop's 50th year as well as the way Refresh Collective continues the tradition of innovation, energy and passion to uplift our community through music and rhyme. Props to teaching artist, Eroc Beatz, for producing this track and leading our amazing team of teachers to write this anthem.
There is no other way to say it. We are hardwired for a purpose. Through the fun of self-expression, and the process of production, students discover unique talents, grow in their purpose and sharpen new skills.
